“Arka Synthesis” was selected after an international tender by the company Cimolai for the study, design and construction of the superstructure of the tensile roof of the stadium following the strictest standards of quality and safety. The project is the result of a successful collaboration between Arka Synthesis, Cimolai S.p.A., Maffeis Engineering S.p.A. & Dimand S.A.
The erection process was a highly specialized procedure and was supported by working groups of certified installers of “Arka Synthesis” who with full autonomy and continuous guidance from the construction managers ensured the perfect technical support of the project and the required strict schedules.
The membrane was placed on metal arches placed on the secondary elements of the metal structure.
The installation was done with the completion sequence of the metal carrier per side. The total covered area is approximately 13,500 m2 and consists of 54 sections in total of which 20 have a trapezoidal shape while 34 have a rectangular shape.
